Progress thus far

Since starting Kung Fu, watching my calories and changing up my diet, I have lost about 14 pounds. I started at 154 pounds and am currently at 140. I seem to be stuck at 140, my goal was 135 but what seems to be happening now is I’m losing fat but gaining muscle, so my weight is no longer decreasing. I still have some stubborn belly flab that I would like to lose in order to see a nice six-pack.


Currently, I am trying to work out almost every day, beyond the regular running up and down stairs at work all day long. I attend Kung Fu on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays for an hour or two of class time. On off days, I try to do some push ups, sit ups, crunches, leg lifts, and other exercises to strengthen my core. I also play my Everybody Dance game in the workout mode which counts the calories you’re burning! Nifty!

Today it was raining/sleeting/snowing really badly, so Vince and I skipped Kung Fu and did an insanity workout instead: Insane Abs. I then played my Everybody Dance game to burn about 150 calories and get my heart going a little bit. I looked up this new high intensity workout chick: Zuzka Light which looks awesome and I plan to try her stuff next time I have a day off from Kung Fu.
